Vectors & Reading Pathways - Visual Techniques Toolkit - Worksheet and PowerPoint

This resource focuses on the visual techniques vectors and reading pathways. The worksheet begins with an information box which explains the techniques and their effect. This is followed by activities which focus on identifying and explaining the technique in a range of images contained in the accompanying PowerPoint presentation.

The PowerPoint presentation contains all the relevant images for the worksheet plus some extra material to support study of these images, such as annotations on the images to show the vector lines and notes on the effect of the vectors in each image. Additional resources focused on the importance of direction in vectors is also included in the PowerPoint, with exploration of the meaning of movement towards the left (eg. reflection, introspection) and right (eg. progress, hope). Please note that this extra component requires the download of external images (for copyright reasons), however links are provided to make this easy for you.

This resource is suitable for a high school audience. The worksheet is included in both Word and pdf formats to ensure no loss of detail.
