This resource provides four questions to help students practise completing Venn diagrams where the intersection needs to be calculated.

Students work with a range of contexts, including musical instruments and sport, tea and coffee, singing and dancing, and students studying Chemistry and Biology. The questions require students to use the information given to complete the Venn diagram and then calculate probabilities or percentages.

The resource also includes answers and worked solutions, including a reasoning question where students must decide whether a statement about the percentage of students who can both sing and dance is correct.

A useful collection of exam-style questions for practising Venn diagrams, set notation, probability and interpreting information from two-way sets.
