This links with ‘Castle Adventure’, from the Oxford Reading Tree range of books. We wrote adventure stories with our Year 1 children and used this for our SEN children. It worked really well as it focused them on reading and writing.
I used this as part of my instructional writing week. The children had the instructions cut out and had to read them and put them in the correct order. The cheese sandwich instructions were for the more able children.
