Black History Month: Research Activities for Teens Are you looking for some fun independent research activities for your students to do when learning about Black History? This resource is really easy to use in your classroom – there are 16 printable worksheets which have the name and picture of some of the heroes of Black History: some are well-known and others are unsung heroes. Students can then undertake their own research (at home or in lessons) to find out more about these people, and then reflect on why they think they are so inspirational and have made such a positive impact on Black History. There is also a blank version at the end for students to research their own hero! Resource includes: • Martin Luther King Jr. • Frederick Douglass • Harriet Tubman • Mary Seacole • George Washington Carver • Booker T. Washington • Rosa Parks • Muhammad Ali • Malcolm X • William H. Hastie • Maya Angelou • Thurgood Marshall • Nelson Mandela • James Meredith • Ruby Bridges • Elijah McCoy This is great way for students to do some background research on some of the heroes that have shaped Black History and can be completed at home or during a lesson - there are plenty to choose from! These worksheets would also look great displayed on a wall display or stapled into a booklet for students to keep! ************************************************************************************************************************ • If you choose to download this resource, please take the time to leave a rating - I do really value your feedback and I always look forward to reading what you think about my resources! Remote Learning Well-Being Check In Google Forms

(0)
If you are moving to remote learning via Google Classroom and are wanting to do check ins with your students to check on their well-being, then these Google Forms are an effective way of doing this. This set contains 4 different attractive Google forms for you to use with your students. Simply post them on Google Classroom to get a check in and take attendance at the same time! The forms included are: • Morning Meeting Google Form Check In: check on your students’ well-being and how they are feeling, and give them an opportunity to share important information with you and have that 1:1 attention if they need it. • Afternoon Meeting Google Form Check In: check on your students’ well-being and progress on the day. You can compare how they’re feeling from the morning, discover what they have learned and enjoyed, and what they’ve found challenging so you can cater to their needs in the future. • Initial Remote Learning Google Form Check In: Gain an understanding on your student’s learning environment at home. In your classroom you can control the learning environment, but once it comes to remote learning that is out of your hands. Learn what kind of device, internet access and study space they have as well as what their initial concerns are. • Interim Remote Learning Google Form Check In: As remote learning is a new playing field for many of us, it’s important to regularly check in on your students to see how they are finding the experience. With this form you will learn what they are finding valuable and gain an insight into what might help improve their remote learning experience in the future. You can still be the caring teacher you love being, even without being able to see your students face to face with these well-being check in forms for remote learning.

This resource pack contains everything you need to help break the ice with your students. This would be ideal for any new class whether they are just new to you or even new to each other! These resources will be great for helping you get to know them better and for them to integrate into the group. You will find physical activities to get them up and about, moving and talking to one another and finding things in common, helping the group to improve their social skills in talking, bonding and making new friends. Enjoy getting your group of students to begin bonding and making friends! ************************************************************************************************************************ • If you choose to download this resource, please take the time to leave a rating - I do really value your feedback and I always look forward to reading what you think about my resources! Journaling has been proven to reduce physical disease symptoms and anxiety, enhance self-esteem and increase self-awareness. It can improve your self love and help you become really in tune with your own thoughts and emotions. Writing engages both the left and right side of the brain, enhancing problem solving capabilities. Performance Management: Teachers' Standards Evidence Binder

(1)
Performance Management: Teachers' Standards Evidence Binder (Includes most up to date standards from June 2013) With Performance Related Pay now in full swing for teachers, it is more important than ever to document the evidence to prove that you are meeting the standard requirements which enable you to earn a pay rise, or at least remain at the top of the scale. Oftentimes during the appraisal meeting season in September, we are reflecting on our achievements from the previous academic year but it can be difficult to remember everything we have done if we rely only on our memory! It is also often confusing to know where we can find evidence to prove we have met the standards; this is why I created this resource. Tired of being less than inspired by dull blankets of text and confusing layouts of these standards, I decided to design something a little more aesthetically pleasing and easier to navigate and organise evidence with. With this 20 page binder, you can clearly see each of the standards and you have a simple and efficient system of both making quick notes and recording hard evidence of how you are meeting the standards. So get organised with your performance management and ensure you get the pay you deserve as a teacher! **************************************************** • If you choose to download this resource, please take the time to leave a rating - I do really value your feedback and I always look forward to reading what you think about my resources!
