P6 Waves - Multi-Step Calculation Practice Worksheet with Answers

Prepare students for 5 and 6 mark calculation questions found in GCSE Combined Science and Physics with this practice worksheet. Each question requires the use of two equations. 2 Worked examples model and scaffold students through 6 independent questions of practice of the use and combination of two equations in a multi-step process.

This worksheet mimics the typical style of these questions in AQA Higher papers and encourages students with showing working in a way that matches markschemes.

In order to add variety, these some of these questions require the use of s=vt and the frequency definition in conjunction to v=fλ and T=1/f. Incorporation of standard form and significant figures are also covered in the worked examples and praticed.

I envisage using these at the end of a topic, however could easily be adaptable, these resources are ideal for homework, cover work, revision or targeted exam preparation for grade 7 to grade 9 students.
