A ready-to-use Welcome Back Form Tutor Task designed to help students reconnect, get to know their tutor group and start the new school year positively.

This engaging extended form-time activity combines individual reflection, discussion, movement and whole-form activities. It can be used at the beginning of the academic year, with a new tutor group, or whenever a form group needs an opportunity to reconnect and reset.

Students complete a range of activities including:

This Is Me – interests, strengths and things their tutor might not know about them
Summer in 60 Seconds – a quick reflection on their summer
Find Your People – an interactive activity encouraging students to speak to different members of their form
Level Up This Year – personal goals and targets for the year ahead
Our Form, Our Team – students work together to establish five shared form principles
Between Me & My Tutor – an opportunity for students to communicate strengths, difficulties and areas where they may need support
Future Me – students consider what they would like to achieve by the end of the year

The activity works particularly well when delivered section-by-section by the form tutor, allowing time for discussion and interaction rather than being completed as a silent worksheet.

Ideal for an extended 45–60 minute tutor session.
