When We Two Parted - Byron AQA Lesson

A lesson (or really a couple of lessons) exploring the poem When We Two parted.

The first part is a series of prompts to encourage the students to explore the poem independently (but with specific focus and guides) to support their developing poetry analysis skills and enforce the kind of things we look for in both seen and unseen poetry.

We then explore a bit of Byron’s background before annotating the poem as a class which leads into some guided written analysis work.
