WHO PROTECTED THE PRINCESSES TOMB????

THE MUMMY’S HAND REIMAGINED

The American Archeologist and his partner are down on their luck.
Then one day, in a Cairo junk store they find tablets.
The American archeologist immediately recognizes references to the lost Egyptian Princess.
They take the bus downtown to the museum, but are laughed at.

They sit back at their budget hotel in despair.
Then a beautiful young American woman comes in.
She explains she is the daughter of a rich American magician.
He will sponsor a dig of the prinesses tomb if she can come on the expedition.

Initially the American Archeologist has doubts but soon they are in camp.
Almost immediately, they find a secret underground temple.
In the grand hall, is the princess’s mummy case lying in state.
A mysterious man arrives.
He explains the Egyptian Gods are still alive in these hills.
He advises reburying the temple and going away.
The American Archeologist says science dictates continuing on.

That night, the camp is frightened by a screem in the night.
A guard has been killed.
A strip of mummy wrapping is found at the scene.

At this point in this story some explaination is warranted:
The mummy is the guardian of the temple.
Back in ancient times he loved the princess.
She became sick and died.
He was distraught and turned to magic to bring her back from the dead.
He was caught and condemned to being buried alive in her tomb.

A secret priesthood continued through the ages to care for the temple.
When needed, the mummy was reincarnated to protect the princess.
So, in this instance the mummy was being used to drive off the Archeologists.
The mysterious man was the high priest with power over the mummy.
He noticed the young woman who looked like the princess in life.

The next day, he confronted the Americans with the mummy.
The mummy attacks but is mollified by the sight of the young woman.
He wheeled around and attack the mysterious man.
After this, he resumed his attack on the archeologists.
The head archeologist used fire to set the mummy ablaze.
He sinks helplessly down in a smoldering heap.
The Americans hug each other in grateful shock and amazement.
