A really useful document for English subject leaders, Senior Leadership Teams and all staff to see their role in ensuring Punctuation and Grammar is taught effectively across the whole school. How do you know how and when each grammar element is being taught in your school? How do you know when or if these concepts are being recapped and embedded?

Created for my own school (I’m a Year 6 teacher, 13 years experience and Grammar lead) following the National Curriculum guidance for Punctuation and Grammar, this document details the progression from Reception to Year 6, including what should be recapped as retrieval each term for each year group and explaining some definitions, as well as giving examples and explaining why the concept is to be covered at that particular point.
