A ready-to-deliver 12-slide primary assembly helping children understand simple, practical ways to look after their brains and wellbeing.
Using an engaging “2% battery” hook, pupils explore how their brain helps them think, learn, remember, manage feelings and make decisions, before considering what helps to “recharge” it.
The assembly explores key wellbeing habits including sleep and rest, movement and fresh air, food and water, connection with others, asking for help, taking breaks, Happy Breathing, enjoyment and continuing to learn.
An interactive “Brain Charger or Brain Drainer?” activity encourages whole-school participation, while the final reflection asks pupils to choose one realistic brain-charging habit to use more often. The assembly also reinforces that looking after ourselves does not mean feeling happy all the time and encourages children to seek support when difficult feelings continue.
Ideal for KS1 and KS2 assemblies, PSHE, mental health and wellbeing, healthy habits, Children’s Mental Health Week or whole-school pastoral provision.
