A range of different activities exploring the life and work of William Beaumont and Alexis St Martin. 200 years ago St Martin was shot in the stomach while hunting animals. Most people would have died but St Martin survived and continued to live with a hole in his stomach. Beaumont ceased this opportunity to learn about the digestive system through a series of experiments. This resource will take you through the events of their story.
