Wimbledon Traditions Match-Up Activity

This interactive and engaging activity challenges pupils to explore the unique traditions of Wimbledon by sorting and matching a range of statements, images, or items into two categories: “Wimbledon Tradition” or “Not a Wimbledon Tradition.”
Pupils are presented with a variety of examples—some accurate Wimbledon customs (such as strawberries and cream, the all-white dress code, or grass courts) and some deliberately misleading or non-relevant items (such as coloured kits, night matches with music, or other sports traditions). Working individually, in pairs, or small groups, learners must discuss, decide, and justify their choices.
