These word list workbooks cover half of the common exception words for Year 3 and 4 from the NC English Spelling Appendix.
The formats provide a small-steps ‘Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check’ method including sentence reading and prompts to draw a visual cue. Together, this provides a strong multisensory spelling approach especially with these tricky words that vary from phonic rules.
Useful for classroom-based practice or home learning and consolidation, the design is clearly laid out for parents and/or teaching assistants to follow.
