As literacy coordinator I created ‘word of the week’ presentations which were shared with KS3 and KS4 in order to promote the development of new vocabulary across the school. The PowerPoint goes through the etymology of the word in a way to help students remember it.
Form teachers devlivered the presentation to form classes and pupils were encouraged to use the word in all their lessons, where appropriate.
