I am a Programme Leader of A Level English Literature. I have a BA (hons) first class and MA with distinction in English Literature. I have taught at a private sixth form college and two FE colleges. I currently teach the Edexcel specification. This is a PowerPoint lecture which has voice recordings embedded. The lecture is an analysis of the poem and includes modelled annotations on each stanza. It
includes contexts of the sublime (Burke/Kant/Wordsworth’s concept of the sublime) and pantheism. You need to download the PowerPoint and play the slideshow to hear the voice recordings. You can send the resource to students and they should emerge the other side with a fully annotated poem with high level understanding, ready for class discussion.
