World Book Day Challenges

Two exciting and engaging World Book Day challenges for primary aged pupils. These are great for inspiring reading and for talking about favourite books. The first is a ‘Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?’ challenge; pupils match a dinner plate to a well-known character from a beloved story. The second, a ‘Match the Book to Its Cover’ challenge, where pupils match part of a well-known book cover to its title. Both resources are on PowerPoint, so are fully editable to easily adapt to books your cohort are most likely to know/engage with. These challenges can be converted to PDF and sent home as a homework challenge, or can be used in the classroom as part of World Book Day.
Each file contains versions for KS1 and KS2. Answers to all challenges are included.
