This is taught to year 9 in an ‘outstanding’ school over the course of a term.
All powerpoints and handouts are included as well as the knowledge organiser.
These are double lessons (2 hours 30 minutes) so there is detailed content.

Extracts from ‘Things Fall Apart.’
‘My Polish Teacher’s Tie’ - short story.
‘Tomorrow is too Far’ - short story (Chimamanda Adichie).
‘The Sniper’ - short story (Liam O’Flaherty).
'Single Mass of the Back Row - short story (Claudette Williams).
Lessons contain retrieval practice starters, extended writing opportunities (with success criteria) and challenge activities.
