In this lesson, students will explore who conscientious objectors were and why some men refused to fight in World War One. They will examine primary sources and a first-hand account, using an inference table to interpret the evidence. Students will then consider a series of agree or disagree statements displayed around the classroom, moving around the room to form and justify their own opinions on whether conscientious objectors were cowards. L4 of 12. Source inference sheet is a slide to be printed, as are the Agree/Disagree cards.
