Tried and tested teaching sequence used for teaching writing to evaluate using a film review as a focus. Loosely pinned to EDEXCEL GCSE AO4 mark scheme but could easily work for other boards. Activities look at using a variety of evaluative language and pre-modification. Accessible way to develop evaluative skills- and has worked well at different ability levels. Lasts about 2 lessons.
