This is aimed at the new specification for AQA GCSE.
Starter, pupils consider what is art and culture. They then complete part of the table looking at pre-Nazi art and culture.
Pupils then meet Goebbels and discuss his ideas on propaganda and it's role in German society, before a little note taking and discussion about art works (one is degenerate, the other is Hitlers favourite piece). Pupils watch the video link of Hitlers speech on changes in art and culture, then fill in the table for Nazi art and culture.
Pupils end on an exam question with markscheme and sentence starters.
You will need access to the new AQA red Germany textbook for this lesson.
