This lesson focuses on developing students empathy skills of children's experiences during WWII in the evacuation process. Students are encouraged to engage in a role playing activity, representing a particular child who was evacuated during the Blitz. The purpose is to identify both good and bad experiences which can then be used for an extended writing piece on whether evacuation was a completely bad experience for evacuees.
