This is a short resource designed for Year 2 students to help them understand the concept of place value.
I have an extended version of this resource available in my shop, which contains PDF versions of the following:
- A help sheet explaining the concept of sequences and how to continue a sequence pattern by counting forwards or backwards.
- An extended question sheet with more questions to help students practice continuing sequences and find missing numbers in partially filled-in sequences. Questions relate to counting both forwards and backwards, and there is a small extension opportunity to encourage pair or group work.
- An answer sheet for teacher use or student consolidation.
