Lesson begins with a reading task considering causes for growth and decline, followed by one where pupils are asked to create a list of reasons for changing beliefs.
Pupils then play pictionary with the main ideas they should have pulled from the text, before expanding knowledge through a spider diagram, and a diamond four of the main ideas.
A reading list is included at the end of the powerpoint.
