Year 1 - Introduction to plants

This Year 1 lesson pack introduces children to the basics of plant biology through clear explanations and engaging, age‑appropriate activities. Pupils learn to identify common plants and their features, name parts of flowering plants, and recognise the roles these parts play. The pack also supports children in naming different types of trees, comparing deciduous and evergreen leaves, and understanding that seeds and bulbs come from plants.
