Year 1 Easter End of Term Activities Bundle

This resource is a bundle of activities perfect for using with your year 1 class in the days and weeks leading up to Easter. The bundle contains: - Easter story comprehensions (4 pages) - Spring comprehensions (3 pages) - Maths activity booklet (20 pages) - Phonics activity booklet (20 pages) You can choose to use the colour or black & white versions of each activity. **The Easter Story Comprehensions** The story is split into 4 sections: * Palm Sunday * The Last Supper * Good Friday * Easter Sunday Each comprehension contains a short piece of text with words that can be sounded out. There are three trickier words which have pictures to help children work out what they say. The text is followed by 5 questions, containing ‘what’ ‘who’ and ‘when’ questions and some multiple choice questions. Answers are also included. There are three differentiated levels. There is also a PowerPoint included in the pack containing a slide for each text from the middle ability so that you can go through the comprehensions before the children complete them. Each slide also contains 3 words that are trickier to sound out, with sound buttons underneath them. The PowerPoint is not editable. Click ‘Read Only’ to open. **Spring Comprehensions** There are three topics covered: * What can I do in the spring? * What happens in the spring? * Spring animals There are 3 differentiated levels. The higher ability booklet contains a title page with three helpful words followed by three pages of pictures with short written extracts to read and 5 questions per page. The middle and lower ability booklets each contain three short pieces of text with words that can be sounded out. Each page has trickier words which have pictures to help children work out what they say. Each passage is followed by 5 simple questions. There is also a PowerPoint presentation included in the pack containing a slide for each text from the middle ability booklet so that you can go through the comprehensions before the children complete them. Each slide also contains 3 words that are trickier to sound out, with sound buttons underneath them. This is not editable. Answers are also included. **Easter Maths Activity Booklet** The booklet contains 20 pages of Easter themed Maths activities that the children can complete on their own as a start of day activity, a filler or a whole lesson. The tasks cover all areas of the year 1 curriculum, including addition, subtraction, counting, time, mass, height, capacity, shape, fractions and money. You can use the booklet to check how much progress your class have made in Maths while they are enjoying the Easter themed questions. I have also included answers. **Easter Phonics Booklet** A 20 page Easter themed phonics booklet, containing a wide range of activities to help children revise phases 3 - 5. Perfect for children to work on independently during phonics lessons, as a start of day activity, or as a filler for the busy end-of-term period. Alternatively, send home for parents to work on with children as a homework task. Activities range from filling in initial sounds, to sorting real and fake words, to filling in missing words.
