It is based around the book The Tin Forest by Helen Ward and links well to my setting description unit of work in my shop, a great follow up unit along the same topic.
There are also ideas of cross curricular links to make The Tin Forest a half termly topic.
All planning is on powerpoint slides that can be used in the lesson and contains teacher notes and printable resources.
