This 90-minute GCSE Astronomy lesson introduces angular measure as the language astronomers use to describe positions, separations and apparent sizes in the sky. Learners develop confidence with degrees, arcminutes and arcseconds before converting between units, estimating angles with hand spans and applying their understanding to familiar objects including the Moon, Sun, planets and deep-sky targets.
