Year 2 Mama Panya's Pancakes Reading Lesson Plans Unit

This smartboard is based around the book Mama Panya's Pancakes by Mary and Rich Chamberlin.
The resource is based around the book to support the children's reading and understanding of the text. This is a series of lessons for the whole unit.

The resource focuses on:
-developing deduction and retrieval
-inferring what the character would say and why
-developing vocabulary
-retelling the story
-summarising the story
-understanding dialogue and speech marks
-role playing different parts of the story

This resource holds 2 weeks worth of lessons which are of 30mins per lesson.
Great to use to develop an understanding of a different culture and place so to compare to their own in Geography.
