Year 5 Reading Comprehension - World Teachers' Day

World Teachers’ Day is the perfect theme to spark curiosity and reflection in your classroom.
This differentiated comprehension pack includes three carefully differentiated texts: Starter, Standard, and Stretch. Each version supports progression in reading skills, from simple retrieval at Starter, through vocabulary and inference at Standard, to comparison and author’s intent at Stretch.

Across all levels, students learn the same core facts: World Teachers’ Day is held each year on the 5th of October. It was first introduced by UNESCO and partners to celebrate the role of teachers. The day highlights the contribution of teachers in helping children learn and shaping societies.
