This Year 5 reading intervention pack is designed to stretch pupils working at the expected standard towards greater depth through carefully selected, challenging texts and precision-focused questioning.

Ideal for small-group intervention or targeted support for higher attainers, this pack develops the deeper skills required for greater depth: handling complex language, justifying responses with evidence, and maintaining accuracy across demanding texts.

Each text includes three structured lessons, with clear progression across the sequence.
