The WAGOLL is based on Michael Morpurgo’s ‘Private Peaceful’ and is a letter written from the Colonel to the men working on his estate, persuading them to join the war efforts. It is pitched at the higher end of the Expected Standard, and is ideal for use as a whole class resource.

Also included is a word-bank, providing phrases to describe the war, the men at home, the situation, the troops fighting and the enemy.
