Celebrate the people who help us learn every day. This World Teachers’ Day pack gives pupils the chance to explore why teachers matter and how their work shapes lives around the globe!

The resource includes three differentiated texts: Starter, Standard, and Stretch. Each one is carefully written to support progression in reading skills, from straightforward retrieval to more complex tasks such as inference, layered meaning, and author’s intent.

Across all levels, children learn the same core facts. World Teachers’ Day takes place on the 5th of October each year and was established by UNESCO in 1994. It was created to highlight the vital role of teachers and the importance of education worldwide. Pupils discover how teachers help young people learn, grow, and prepare for the future, how the day is celebrated in different countries, and why strong education depends on trained and supported teachers.

What’s included:

  • Three black-and-white reading texts (Starter, Standard, Stretch)
  • Matching comprehension questions for each level
  • Skill-tagged answer keys for easy marking
  • Traffic light self-assessment

A thoughtful way to mark World Teachers’ Day while building key reading skills!
