Year 6 SATs revision - Conjunctions round robin activity

This is a comprehensive collection of revision resources for the upcoming Year 6 Grammar SATs based on an area my class have been finding a little tricky: conjunctions.

My class find revision so dull particularly with things like word class and conjunctions, so I have made an exciting round robin activity where the children work in groups, are active but are still revising things they need to know.

I used this resource for an afternoon, giving children around 15 minutes on each activity.

There are 6 activities based on conjunctions for the children to complete.

1. deciding whether a word has been used as a preposition or a subordinating conjunction
2. choosing a suitable conjunction to complete sentences
3. identifying where conjunctions have been used
4. Identifying co-ordinating or subordinating conjunctions
5. Writing sentences with conjunctions in
6. Rewriting sentences with a conjunction at the start

There is also a comprehensive powerpoint which is very detailed and recaps everything the children will need to know about conjunctions in preparation for the SPG test.
