A no-prep, whole-class SPaG revision game designed for Year 6 SATs. Simply open the PowerPoint and play - no printing or set-up required.
Pupils work in teams to answer 30 grammar questions while competing to collect treasure across an interactive map. The game is quick to run and easy to manage, keeping the whole class engaged while reinforcing key SPaG skills. The treasure element adds excitement and competition without adding complexity, making it ideal for focused revision sessions.
To play, divide the class into teams and display the PowerPoint. Teams answer questions and move across the map, with answers revealed on click. As they progress, they may gain bonus treasure, fall into traps, swap scores or steal points, adding variety and keeping pupils motivated throughout the lesson.
The resource includes 30 questions covering Year 6 SPaG objectives for SATs Paper 1, along with answer slides for every question. Some of the questions are designed as challenge questions to extend learning and provide additional stretch for more confident pupils. The PowerPoint is fully editable, allowing you to adapt or reuse it as needed across different sessions or groups.
This resource works well as a full lesson, but can also be used in shorter bursts for revision starters, booster sessions or end-of-term recap. It is designed to be simple, flexible and engaging, giving you a ready-to-use activity that requires no preparation while still delivering meaningful practice.
