I have created a straight forward listening and written assessment that I used for my year 7's at the end of the autumn term based on musical elements, listening skills and pitch and rhythm notation.
Students are asked to circle, write and identify the correct description of certain parts of musical examples, as well as a section for extended writing.
Students are also asked to identify musical instruments, how they are being played, before then identifying the correct pitches in the treble clef and rhythmic names and values with a little comprehension.

I struggled to find something that would give me some good listening examples and clear lines of questioning so I thought to have a go at it myself.

I hope some will be able to find it useful and tweak where necessary!
