In this resource you have a skeleton scheme of work, a pupil work booklet, link to a listening resource and an essential knowledge and vocabulary sheet.
I current use this as my introduction to year 7 as it teaches many of the foundation skills including pitch and rhythmic notation, keyboard hand position and basic listening skills.
There is no ‘powerpoint’ for this unit as I simply display the pupil booklet, reducing cognitive overload and ensuring that what is on the screen matches what is in front of the pupil.
