In this resource you have a skeleton scheme of work, a pupil work booklet, link to a listening resource and an essential knowledge and vocabulary sheet.
I current use this as my final unit of year 7 as it consolidates the performance work done previously, develops the knowledge of structure from Unit 2 and develops pupils ability to perform as a musical ensemble. It also develops their listening skills, giving them a free text response to ensure that the ability previously developed is consolidated.
There is no ‘powerpoint’ for this unit as I simply display the pupil booklet, reducing cognitive overload and ensuring that what is on the screen matches what is in front of the pupil.
This unit of work is designed to last 9 weeks.
