This is a complete, ready-to-deliver Year 8 Form Tutor Time Programme covering the full academic year across six colour-coded half terms. Every session is designed for form tutors — no specialist knowledge, no printing, no preparation beyond opening the file.
Year 8 is a different pastoral moment from Year 7. Students are settled enough to go deeper but old enough to need harder conversations. This programme goes there — honestly and carefully — covering the territory that actually matters at 12 and 13.
Each of the 40 sessions has a dedicated title slide followed by four activity slides, one per task. Put a slide on the board and the session runs itself. Every slide has a tutor instruction at the top, a large student-facing prompt in the centre, and a quiet delivery note at the bottom.
The six half-term arcs are: Identity Under Pressure (self-esteem, body image, gender, social media); Relationships Getting Complicated (consent, romantic relationships, online safety, family conflict); When Things Get Hard (anxiety, perfectionism, asking for help, self-harm awareness); Risk, Decisions and Staying Safe (substances, exploitation, the law, bystander responsibility); Ambition, Leadership and Making a Mark (character, leadership, social action, careers); and Looking Forward (Year 9 preparation, celebration, legacy).
207 slides. Fully editable in Microsoft PowerPoint.
