Year 9 Options: Why Learn Spanish?

This is a lesson that I put together during lockdown to try to promote GCSE Spanish to our Year 9 students. It was delivered via Microsoft Teams but could easily be delivered in a classroom.
There are notes under the slides for my colleagues, feel free to use or ignore these as you wish!
I have included the following… a 10 question quiz about Spanish, information about how learning a language helps with brain health and career prospects, overview of GCSE Spanish course and an independent research/creative task for students to complete at the end.
I hope this is of some use to you if you are trying to encourage students to opt for GCSE Spanish.
