Year 9 Poetry - Homer's The Odyssey and the muses

This unit builds students to have a more in depth understanding of the rich history of poetry and the different poetic movements throughout time.

This lesson focuses on epic poetry, allowing students to explore part of Homer’s The Odyssey and at the same time understanding who the muses were and what an invocation to the muses was.
