Lesson presentations and activities
A powerpoint going through how to find the gradient between 2 points with some examples and questions and answers at the end. Shows the difference between positive and negative and large and small gradients.

Based on an idea from fionaryan88, here is my adapted version of The Chase game. This version is centred around finding the gradient between two points. Played it with my Year 11s (I won!) and they loved it and have asked for more versions, so hope it works well with your class.

Great sheet - not sure I understand the why "because she is symmetrical" but I like it anyway.

Fantastic, thank you. My year 7's will love it!
Practice questions, homeworks and assessments
In this activity students find gradients and use the numbers to fill in a paint by numbers style activity. Ideal for KS3 students. Have students break this down between them (there are far too many gradients to calculate by one person), maybe in groups of 2 or 3. Loads of finding gradients from two points, extension at the end to find the equations of the lines. Once they have their gradients they use the code to associate colours to the picture. It should create an image of Batman. There is an extension included.

A set of worksheets that shows how to calculate gradients of lines drawn on grids then moves on to equations of straight lines and the form y = mx + c.
Please see my other resource for worksheets about perpendicular lines and their gradients which is available via my shop at

Great worksheet, but unfortunately there are definitely no answers on the PDF. 8 brilliant scaffolded worksheets but answers are not a part of the file or download.

A very clear practical approach to gradients. It would be useful to have the answers as mentioned in your description, "8 WORKSHEETS with answers."
