Thanks, useful resource.
This is a plenary or starter activity that is about nailing home the point about the final steps in trial and improvement problems. It is intended to create discussion and allow students to identify the most common 'mark loser&' in trial and improvement problems.

Excellent resource very clearly set out for a topic that students find a bit tricky. Thank you very much.
Sick of your students moaning that they have to draw tables for themselves? This worksheet has them all done and gives them an idea of where to begin as well.

Excellent and really helpful for my year 11 core group!! Thank you
Relatively simple, structured worksheet on using trial and improvement to find square and cube roots to 1 decimal place using second d.p. (Can ignore latter and just find closest to 1 d.p.) 7/3/14 Slightly improved versions replacing originals and another new 'problem'.
