      • This has always proved to be an engaging way for students to practice combined transformations. The exercise includes reflection, rotation and translation with one version using vectors and a simplified version without. I have used this successfully with both KS3 and KS4 classes.
        Make sure that students apply each transformation to the latest image NOT the original. And pencils are definitely required for the inevitable slip ups!

        CIMT can be relied on to provide material on any topic. I often use the ideas from the mental tests in class - these mental tests are provided for each topic and are on that topic - not just mental arithmetic. The additional activities are very helpful - those here include an exploration of repeated reflections and a rather nice exercise to find the errors in a reflection.
