Do you want to inspire your year 3 or year 4 pupils to write creatively and imaginatively? Do you want to teach them how to use descriptive language effectively and confidently? From dragons to cyclops, your pupils will use their teamwork skills to build vocabulary as groups before going onto an independent task. They will discuss verbs, adjectives, similes, adverbs and conjunctions, and use them to enhance their writing. This lesson is easily adapted from 20 minutes to an hour or even longer, depending on your needs and objectives. Icebreakers! This Back to School ice breaker resource is a great addition to back to school tutor time, 'dropdown' days or any lesson! It can even be used as a distance learning Teams or Zoom tool. This is the perfect addition to any classroom, especially at the beginning of the year.< This is a FULLY INTERACTIVE presentation with animation and MUSIC. The PPT consists of over 30 Slides with 12 Icebreaker scenarios and three of our fun count down timers. Use the Ice Breaker Selector Wheel on slide 2 to select one of the 12 Ice breaker questions within this presentation. Click on a coloured segment of the selector to start it spinning and the hand to stop it. You can then click on the selected emoji to take you to the relevant activity. If you wish to be taken back to the Icebreaker Selector, there is a signpost on each page. You have the option of selecting either one of the 5, 10 or 15 minute timers for each activity. Cheaper and more affordable than a posh cocktail or craft ale on a night out (because we all know how much of our own money we spend on our class already!) :) ‘Superheroes!’ is one of a series of outstanding assemblies created for primary school children, which includes full script songs and prayers with a part for every child. This assembly is ready to go! ‘Superheroes’ links with many areas of the National Curriculum, including the: English, Music, Drama, History and PSHE spheres, with a theme that is rooted in upstanding values and is relevant to the children’s everyday lives and interests - including a healthy ‘self-esteem’ injection for all! This assembly is all about recognising the ‘superhero’ in you, giving each child the chance to shine by stating their own unique ‘superhero’ power - from amazing reading skill or artistic genius to the sports star or reliable friend. This assembly also teaches to spot the ‘superhero’ in others and to be thankful for those who support and save us in a hundred little ways every day. There is a part for every child - whether acting, singing, dancing or leading a prayer!
