A bundle of fun, clearly laid-out revision maps to help condense a unit into memorable revision notes. These revision maps are for Religious Studies GCSE. They are specifically made for WJEC/Eduqas but could also be used to support students in AQA and Edexcel. They are best printed on A3 for students to fill in when revising set units. A mega- quiz that is perfect for GCSE students revising content for the beliefs, teaching and practices aspects of their RS exam. The quiz includes some challenging (and some very challenging) revision questions for both Islam and Christianity - including quote analysis. All answers, exam board definitions (AQA) and explanations are included on each slide. This revision quiz was created for AQA Spec A (Islam and Christianity focus) but is also great for other exam boards with a focus on Islamic and Christian beliefs and practices - or could also be used as a fun way to push a top set KS3 group. This is editable, comes with instructions and has enough material to keep you going for at least an hour. This is a fully resourced lesson about how Martin Luther King’s Christian beliefs influenced his actions. It has an excellent starter sheet, carousel activity, discussion tasks, written tasks and an interactive plenary. It goes through the influence of the Bible, group prayer, being a pastor, non-violent protest & Jesus. It includes information on Civil Rights but its focus is on Martin Luther King’s Christian faith. This pack includes everything you need for this lesson which has been graded Outstanding by Ofsted and included in a Summary report for a secondary school. It has a full lesson plan, differentiated questions, a powerpoint, worksheets and an interactive powerpoint plenary. This plenary can also be adapted and used for other lessons. Buy this and have one lesson for Ofsted totally planned and resourced for you. This lesson is suitable for KS2, KS3 or KS4 (Ages 7-16). It was originally a 60 minute year 8 lesson but can easily last 90 minutes or it can be shortened if needed.

This lesson was used for an observation and follows the structure of a walking talking mock. The lesson aims to introduce the criteria for each style of question used in the RS AQA paper before the students complete a question independently and peer assess. The lesson slides featured a mark scheme for each question presented in order to guide the students peer assessment. The questions featured focus on the the theme A and Judaism sections of the AQA specification.

In this lesson, students learn about the key features of Anglican churches. Some of the features covered include: the font, the altar, the pulpit, the lecturn, the nave, the crucifix and stained glass windows. Students learn about the key purpose of the features, and where they can be found in the church. Students also begin to comprehend what the features symbolise. This resource pack contains a comprehensive 16-slide Powerpoint, alongside an eye-catching worksheet. Two extension activities are provided in order to challenge higher ability learners. In the past, I have used this lesson with children from across Key Stage 2 - the key learning is aligned with NC expectations for RE, and also the content prescribed by most diocese regions. This lesson looks at the issue of Islamophobia. This lesson helps students explore, confront and deconstruct stereotypes targeted at Muslims. Students will learn about the impact of Islamophobia - looking specifically at the media portrayal of Muslims, the Mosque attack in Sweden and Islamophobia Awareness Month. This lesson has been used as part of an Islam Scheme of Work within Religious Studies, however this can be used before teaching Terrorism within history, or as part of PSHE. This is the 2019-20 planning for the topic of Reconciliation / Choices, in Come and See RE curriculum (as directed by Liverpool Archdiocese). This resource includes planning and a Powerpoint to use alongside it. The PP uses scripture, images and videos from the Come and See website, as prescribed in their own planning document. The planning uses the Standard Indicators, Learning Foci and has varied learning tasks throughout. The RE tasks are taught through Drama, Art, Physical activities, ICT and Investigations, Speaking and Listening and Written tasks. Some are scaffolded but they are easily amended to fit your own cohort.
