Student friendly 'goals' to aim for when participating in athletics.
I personally had a points system in which a student would receive 6 points for a gold, 4 for a silver and 2 for a bronze. They also recieved points for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Circuit with very little equipment needed. Can be used throughout KS3+4. All task cards are differentiated so students can choose their own difficulty.
A simple starter game for those studying memory techniques.
Personally I used this in a KS3 Drama lesson, but I took the idea from work I did in Psychology.
The power point is on an automatic timer, students are required to memorize as many words as they can without writing anything down. The task is to recall these words after they have all shown on the board.
You should find that students are more likely to remember the first and last words compared to the ones shown in the middle.
Ask students there previous experience in badminton and set them off on a appropriate task. See how SOLO taxonomy works to effectively differentiate these task cards.
This is a end of unit assessment for 1.1.3-1.1.4 taken from edexcel past papers. The mark scheme is also copied and pasted from the edexcel papers.
It includes multiple choice, short and long answer questions totaling 50 marks.
