Hello! Thanks for viewing my shop. I've been teaching now for over 10 years and was a teaching assistant before that. I'm currently teaching Year 3/4 but have taught in EYFS, Year 1 and 2, & Yr 6. I've worn many hats during my teaching career and I'm now deputy head of a small but ever growing successful first school! I love creating resources that can be used to capture and engage the children in my class that allow them to really enjoy their learning. Please get in touch and leave feedback!

Hi, Thanks for viewing this resources. It is 100% editable and contains mastery plus fluency and reasoning style questions. Included in this resource: 5 pages of questions and 2 worksheets. Interactive smartboard which contains quiz style slides and drag and drop activities. Works well alongside plickers. I cut the questions up and either use them to extend learners who have completed tasks or for plenaries/starters. Occasionally I have cut them up and placed them on tables for children to collaboratively solve. Please feel free to adapt questions to suit the needs of your class. I hope that this is useful. Many thanks

FUN phonics racing game perferct for Phonics screening check practice split digraphs Y1 Y2 eyfs KS1

This game was loved by my mixed R/1 class so much that I created a 4 player A3 sheet version. It promotes reading and sharing. This download includes 5 PDF documents with 4 game boards (20 boards in all). Each split digraph a_e , e_e, i_e , o_e and u_e have been split into three levels of difficulty and the middle ability has a copy with the sounds highlighted to further differentiate. Boards contain a mixture of nonsense/alien words and real. The pupils simply roll die and then move car and say word they land on. They don’t move if they can’t. The other pupils really enjoy being the ref and check their friends learning. To make it a longer game use a die just up to 3. This can be used as a whole class activity / starter or with 1:1/group interventions. You could simply use this to time your children on how fast they can read the words. To extend game just overlap the game boards and make the track longer. Children could play best out of three or you could use the game boards to set out a mini competition/tournament around the classroom. It’s also great when doing transport as a theme and to check and stretch learning. I’ve included the word documents so that you can edit and create your own words. Great revision activity for the upcoming phonics screening. No real preparation needed. Simply print and use. You only need toy cars or a playing piece and a die. I really hope you and your class enjoy this as much as my class do. Please leave feedback if possible :) Thanks

Phonics fun racing board game. Year 1 EYFS Early reading au oi ear ea & ar sounds Key Stage 1

This resource includes 5 game boards and the sounds au, oi, ear /ur pronunciation of ear, ar and ea. There is a mixture of nonsense and real words on each board. For best results print A3! I have asked children to select their playing piece from a basket of cars and used a large foam die! just to add a twist and gimmick to it. I have used these with a class of 20 plus but found they are great for use in interventions and 1:2:1 teaching. Each board takes roughly 20 mins to play with 3 players. In the past I’ve held small competitions to see who won overall. Hope your class love this game! Thanks

Minecraft WW1 trench warfare fact sheet activity Computing gaming Keystage 1, 2 , 3 KS2 KS3 History

I’ve created this resource to help teach my class historical facts about life in the trenches during World War 1 (The Great War). There are 8 tasks for the children to complete using Minecraft. Some tasks have smaller, mini tasks within. This resource is perfect to use to aid and support your teaching of the computing curriculum and uses gaming as a tool to emerse the children in WW1. Each slide has a fact/stat to help increase the children’s knowledge. I’m using this activity to help enrich my classes writing where we will be writing a letter from the trenches. I hope that this resource helps your class. Many thanks

This resource allows you to take your class through a step by step tasks that will see all your pupils achieving a fabulous piece of writing that is modeled but allows all your class to come up with differing pieces of writing. The slides allow discussion and partner work. The rainbow strips can be cut up and placed on tables to allow the children to chose their own structure of their writing. My class created some unbelievable pieces of writing using this scaffolded approach and I really hope that your class achieve the same result. Many thanks

Maths Christmas Investigation Challenge mastery multiplication KS2 Year 3/4 perimeter area 8x 9x

Hi, This resource focuses on multiplication, area and perimeter and allows the children to use reasoning and problem solving skills to solve two investigations. The investigations focus on the 9 and 8 times tables. Investigation 1: Santa wants a new floor design for his grotto 10m x 10m and a new floor design for his ballroom 20 m x 20 m (for higher attainers) Investigation 2: Santa would like to know how many presents fit in each room. Children have to work together to solve. There is a short task to solve the presents area and perimeter which involves the 9 and 8 x tables. Feel free to edit this resource to suit the needs of your class. For example, you could change the multiplication, area size to 5 x 5 or change the grotto to the sleigh. Also you could change the actual measurement to cm and get children to draw in books. I am going to get children to cut areas from spare grids and place on until they have a final version. I’m also going to set my highers off with the challenge of only using calculations to solve first. Hope your class enjoy it and have an awesome Christmas!
