A tarsia puzzle for AQA GCSE Business (9-1) which focuses on content taught from the unit ‘Human Resources’. The resource needs to be printed and cut out into indiviudal triangles & the students must aim to re-arrange this correctly by matching up corresponding sides. This could be done as a group activity or timed challenge. If you wish to make this more difficult there also some ‘red-herring’ triangles which could be added. Potential ideas for use: Flash Card Speed Date - Each student is issued with one of the revision cards and has a set time to complete it (5-10 minutes) then students can do a speed date around the classroom where they collabartively share or test their peers on the revision, Pass The Revision - Each student is given 45 seconds to add something to the card before passing it on to the next person. Great revision game for key business terms. Similar take on blockbusters as students split into two teams and choose a letter and are given a key term description which they must guess correctly to get to colour in that circle red or yellow. Turn then passes to the other team and contiuned to be played like a classic game of connect four till one team scores 4 in a row. (?) circles are used to ask a question instead of a key term.

NEW UPDATED VERISON FOR SEPT 2023 SPECIFICATION A high quality revision map for ‘What is Business?’ which has been created for the updated 2023 specification AQA A-Level Business course (7131/7132) It has been designed to allow students to review their knowledge on essential aspects of this unit. It makes an excellent revision aid in preparation for the exam or could be used in class. To maximise their benefit they should be printed out on A3 paper. These revision maps proved popular with my classes and I am busy updating the other units in preparation for September so please check back when the other units are available as one bundle: What is Business? Students create top trump style cards for four different products. They must research and work out what the PED, YED, XED & PES could be for the product of their choice. You may have to set some boundaries and type of products they could choose for XED but once up and running can be a fun game.

PowerPoint which contains a brand new interesting fact every slide. Can be used in tutorial to be displayed as students enter every day.

Co-operative learning resource. Can be created by teacher or students for a topic of choice. Students then use the cards to quiz each other in the class and once they have done they swap cards and quiz up with another student.

Whole class activity. Students must find someone else in the class who can answer one of the questions on the sheet. They write the answer in and then sign it for them. Great for revision of some key Business Studies topics!
