Easy to use DIRT feedback and evidencing progression sheet which uses Bloom’s matched to the new 9-1 GCSE gradings. Can be used for any KS3 or KS4 subject. It’s really quick for marking. To use - Highlight the skill they’ve used, e.g ‘you have explained the meaning of key phrases such as ……’ Highlight what they could do next to improve, e.g ‘evaluate (judge and assess) the most important reasons.’ Highlight their ‘do it now’ task, such as 'Write a detailed conclusion evaluating (add in subject), considering (add in item) and weighing up the pros and cons of each, reaching a conclusion, with exceptional SPAG. On the same page their is a green-shaded box for them to demonstrate immediate progress through the ‘do it now’ task. They can then stick it in their books and you can return to see it or show it as evidence any time! This works for any subject which involves any sort of assessed writing tasks. A fully-resourced, detailed and differentiated 1 hour lesson which investigates why it’s so important for us to be vaccinated, what the anti-vaxx movement is and why they exist and how just a few people missing vaccinations can endanger the communities and public health of their localities. This lesson is great for PSHE or RE (medical ethics),The lesson is suitable or KS3 / KS4 and is editable, so easy to adapt for your own planning. A fun and creative Citizenship / Tutor Time project lesson for students in the last week of term. Could be used for activities week in Humanities or just as a reward lesson the last time you see your class for the summer. Very easy to set up - you will just need a few balloons, string, sellotape, old clothes, felt tips and a any other boxes/construction materials you can find (just things that would usually be thrown in the recycling). The students work in small groups to research and recreate a famous political icon (info sheets and clip tasks included - all instructions on Powerpoint). The lesson can last as long as you want it to, and I gave prizes of sweets at the end for the best one - but that’s optional! My students really enjoyed it and we took pictures at the end for the school website. Hopefully yours will love it too. I’m going to be adding lots more free PSHCE lessons over the coming months. One year’s teaching unit overview for year 7 and 8 PSHCE and RE. This plan is for teachers who have an hour a week at Key Stage 3 to fit in the subjects of PSHE, Citizenship and RE, but could easily be amended. The plan includes a rationale which explains the unit plan and references plans to improve literacy through PSHCE and RE using new literacy template for student assessment (also included), an action plan and a funding proposal template. An editable end of term assembly with a focus on being grateful and thankful. Many more slides here than you see on the preview! The narrative follows three children and how their lives have changed due to circumstances beyond their control. It lasts about 15-20 minutes if clip is watched too. The assembly emphasises the value of education and how lucky the students are to live in a country with free access to school. It challenges them to think about others less fortunate throughout their break and to come back refreshed but also appreciating how lucky they are. An assembly all about the importance of attendance and punctuality. It lasts around 15-20 mins (inc clip) and explores why excellent attendance is essential to gain good qualifications, linking this with having a successful and well-paid career in the future.
