I was Head of Modern Languages at a Scottish secondary. In 2025, I decided not to retire, exactly, but to Just Not Teach Anymore. These days, I sometimes amuse myself by creating new French, German, Spanish and Italian teaching-materials from scratch. Why? 1. I hope to save ML teachers some time and help them win back a little bit of their evenings/weekends/holidays by providing ready-to-use materials … 2. ... and by doing so earn myself some coffee-money. 3. Also, I'm a bit mad.
